Goanet folk may have not noted that Athanacio Lobo of Moira (now in Canada) has been charged for 'sedition' for his online petition to re-liberate Goa and perhaps rid the place of cows, sadhus and such. Sedition is an offence created by the Brits to discipline Indian nationalists but was removed from the Brit lawbooks in 2010 as no longer relevant.
But not so the BJP babus, who just love the sound of the word and have retained the offence to terrorize anyone they don't like.
And poor Athanacio has been targeted. If he is a Canadian citizen by now, he has nothing to fear. And surely he has acted in good faith. Eddie
