While Goa is being robbed of its culture, peace and environment by the extreme
poverty entering from the rest of India and by greedy individuals both from
within and outside, it is also enriched by the skills and talents coming there
from other parts of the country and the world.

Many years ago when I met Valmiki Faleiro of Margão, he told me that what is
happening is nothing but a reprise of what used to happen before the Portuguese
consolidated their power and rule in the territory. Which proves the two old
adages of history repeating itself and how the only guarantee in life is
change. How the butter churns and finally takes shape, is anybody’s guess.

maybe time to seek forgiveness of Jamlo Makdam and millions like her for what
has been a monumental collective failure..
