This 1935 classic tango was composed by Carlos Gardel with lyrics by Alfredo Le
Pera. Originally in A major, it was later adapted to violin and piano sometimes
in A major, and other times in G major.

This version is by famous Armenian violinist Varo (Varazdat Khachumyan),
presenting with sensuous videography.

Le Pera an Argentinian gambler, was fascinated by race horses as well as
beautiful women. Por Una Cabeza is a horse racing term which means “By A Head”,
a narrow win.

Le Pera and Gardel died in an airplane crash in Medellin, in 1935 the same year
it was composed.
