RACISM AND CASTECISM This is alive and kicking in India. Even the goan catholics still talk of Bramins and Chardo etc during marriage proposals. Now that China has attacked and the usual nationalistic cries for banning goods and perhaps alsotargetting chinese long settled in India, the people from the north like Mizoram are terrified that they maybe targetted/ forced to prove their nationality for merely looking like a chinese or worse set upon for no reason but their looks! And Modiscare has got into the atmosphere especially with danger of questionning anything they say or do! Most of the media has also jumped on the cult bandwagon, India Inc too except of a few and the judiciary and senior authorities in the government seem to fall in line to the detriment of public interest. Modi states not one inch of our land is infiltrated/occupied. The MEA and others make puzzling statements. I am confused. What about Aksai Chin and why were 20 plus soldiers killed, many injured? Most never ask the questions openly perhaps knowing they will not be answered. No doubt we must stand together to fight two deadly enemies Covid and the Chinese besides Pakistan of course. I mention this because as pointed out by Augusto Pinto goans arent very good at taking criticism like even our local media, and I fail to understand why this is becoming a general trend in our democracy which can only thrive on dialogue, honest criticism and dissent!
