Oh the monsoon rains ! My favorite time to be in Goa.Sitting with my wife in our wide and deep balcao, with rain drops falling, and sometime gusts of wind,nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac in a densely wooded area of my village, with our little doggie curled up at myfeet, this is almost heaven. Temperatures in the high 70sF or low 80s are perfect. The trees and other vegetation around have lost their coating of red dust, and being wet, are glistening emerald green.Our wide lawns are at their best. They need to be mowed, but we will have to wait for a few days of sunshine befpre we place the lawnmower on the soggy lawns. The sun comes out for very short spells, casting a glow over everything. This is the Goa that I love.
