Alfred is right, although he did crisscross Europe on foot. He did not make
it to Sweden : It was only 15 years ago that Alfred built the five mile long
bridge that now connects his Asian country to Denmark ! Perhaps John was
moved by the very marshall strains of the "Noble Knight" ode to him, the
Jesuit anthem sung in their schools on July 31.
