DO WE NEED THIS? The question is do we need to copy rich arrogant nations and more so can we afford or do without them! We have our netas now flying around in air force or chartered flights when necessary. With good communication and IT network, other than ego requirements, why waste funds and manpower to maintain special wide bodied aircraft specially for President and CM custom made with big cabins, mini hospital, conference room and ECM measures reportedly itself now costing Rs 1365 crore which will have to be updated since the fast rate technology is changing? Furthermore such perks in India where 80% of the people are struggling to make ends meet? One such aircraft is reportedly due to arrive next week and another end of the year. Where do our priorities lie? I was shocked to see a photo in the newspaper of Margao town police giving a guard of honor in uniform to idol of Lord Ganesh before immersion procession on sunday! Where are we heading with patronized communally oriented police?
