>From Goa to Patagonia By Alfredo F de Mello
2020 Goa Book Cover Challenge-Day/Book 13 These are recollections from the 19 years the author spent as a child and adolescent in Goa and India, prior to settling in Uruguay. His father Dr Froilano de Mello represented Portuguese India in Parliament. As Professor of Medicine and Research Scientist in Parasitology at the former Pasteur Institute at Goa Medical College, Dr de Mello is credited with eradicating malaria from Old Goa. This is therefore, also a ‘son’s story’. An “excellent and useful contribution to the jigsaw puzzle of Goa’s history” that’s worth delving into. @2020GBCC #2020GBCC -- Best regards, *Armenia Fernandes* Mobile: +91 9822696807 Email: [email protected]
