IF THERE IS NO PROBLEM THERE IS NO SOLUTION ?
The Supreme Court (SC)has been told that there are 4,442 pending cases where
MPs and MLAs face trial in criminal cases in different courts.The data sent by
High Courts shows many cases pending for a very long time and in several cases
non bailable arrest warrants issued by trial courts were yet to be executed.
The SC and EC seem to have left it to the political class and the people to
clean the system, both having been corrupted and manipulated. There is
obviously some problem of corruption in the Apex Court and being the final
authority, must not use contempt against those who dare crticize, especially if
the person's are fellow judges and eminent members of the Court! Former SC
justice Markandey Katju reportedly alleged in deposition in a London court on
last friday" The Indian justice system has collapsed beyond redemption....there
are very honest judges,I would say above 50% are corrupt". Prashant Bhushan has
moved the SC appealing his contempt conviction, having the spine to fight to
change the status quo and go to jail for the problem to be acknowleged. Goa had
a one day session and Parliament is sitting for 72 hours total with no Question
Hour! Democracy cannot survive without the common man having easy access to
justice against the government and the rich and powerful. The SC must uphold
the Constitutional right to free speech, right to life and liberty equally, be
you so high or low!
