O Heraldo you might know was a Portuguese only daily until the 80's, when the owners decided to shut down the Portuguese editorial. Somewhere in the mid 50's my late old man was an editor of the newspaper along with one Cabral Sa and under the guidance of Dr. Amadeu Prazeres of Orlim, Salcete. During that period the newspaper had many blank spaces due to censorship by the PIDE (Portuguese secret police) and the editors were lucky to escape the wrath of Casmiro Monteiro. I wish Shri Barbosa the very best in his endeavour. Kitem zalem murre those 60 years of fotioponn has finished. Now Goans have travelled and lived around the world with Portuguese citizenship and seen for themselves how the world exists.
