Trump impeachment fails a second attempt
USA the world leading democracy has failed miserably to uphold justice. On the event of insurrection. Trump is only President out of 4 to be impeached twice and out of office.The insurrection by a President bordering on treason has fizzled out due to two third majority rule. Seven Republican senators boldly voted against party president,thus putting their careers on chopper block. Some are not due for election and may not do so years ahead..They have endured brickbats from state representatives for their bypartisan stand.The argument on witnesses, was voted in but their number,the procedure time consuming and also as Republicans demanded to present 100 witnesses and . The horrific scenes on Capitol Hill,defiling of sacred space, the riots and deaths need no other witnesses along with the speech of Trump edging them to stop the certification by Senate of elect Joe Biden. The mobs were invited, directed and incited by Trump with his symbols, pro charts etc.Trump did nothing to stop the ghastly riots and was shown to be watching the riots .Whether or not the security of life of the Speaker Pelisiot and Vice President was in danger has not been put to test of verification , inspite of credible evidence.Trump was aware of imminent danger but Trump has trampled upon all American tradition and civility,constitution ,country and democracy with his arrogance. It was argued that Trump constutionally could not be impeached when out of office .nor he could be pronounced guilty on insurrection a single charge alone. Even after the acquital Republucan Senator stated that Trump was morally and ethically wrong.Trump on the other hand calls it a witch hunt that deserved to be trashed in the distbin of history. The insurrection is a permanent blot on USA democracy and its core values that even after monumental evidence of insurrection ,Trump has triumphed The pride of American resilence is at play Looks like the Senators who ran for their lives , ducked for cover have forgotten the perilous moments and also forgiven Trump of grave misconduct.In the final analysis it is proved that blind loyalty to the Party and their own political careers rather thanc,the cause of righteousness and justice is a casualty The only relieving grace is that the process of second impeachment started in real earnest with by partisan support,and expected that Democratic values and ethical principles would prevail over individual and party loyalties Democracy is tied to apron strings of majority vote and not validity of arguments Trump is not only voted out with clear majority but will go down in history as the American President for motivating ,inspiring mauruders crowds to edge on the Capitol Hill to stop the traditional proccess of certification . The insurrection was disgraceful conduct and diriliction of duty bythe highest executive failing to defend constitution he swore Americans need to hang their heads in shame as the event that unfolded on capitol hill and legislative measures that failed to cure the disease of violent insurrection with attendant consequences Trump acquital not conviction fell short by 10 votes but the substance of charge is never in doubt but civil and criminal charges are still relevant to meet justice system and alternative option not foreclosed at the moment President Biden has more important agenda on hand .He praised those who stood guard,made Supreme sacrifice and are still reliving the terror .The alternative ,censure is non starter to prevent Trump from occupying seat of President again Nelson Lopes Chinchinim
