Politics is a social curse Recent happenings in police administration only confirm what was always known behind curtains It is strange that an officer who resigned from service and suspended over 16 years was absorbed once again into active service. The suspension was unduly long.The reason for his absorption into active service was bizarre that covid had depleted police service. Vaze was placed into plum position .He had also business interests,joined political party.How could all these facts be overlooked so simplistically and the higher ups just turn a blind eye to gross irregularities. Undoubtedly the reinstatement came with blessing from highest quartets and the motive is not far fetched.Another officer was made an escape goat to divert attention. He has blown the lead off directly not deterred by consequences of service rules The opposition has its plate full to exploit the episode to maximum advantage It will interesting to see how the bosses wriggle out of the situation of murky shadow of exploitation,extortion and direct involvelment
Politician and police nexus is an old hat. Promotions ,selections, and postings have political interference and thus the merry-go-round continues unabated.Reforms are never found wanting, but they are gathering dust with no will for implementations as it is handle to flash when in opposition.
