GOA CZMP World Update on Coastal Zone Management Authority March 2021

An announcement from Team Herald in Panjim on O Heraldo front page dated
Saturday 27 March informs us “Chief Minister Dr Primed Sawant on Friday assured
the Legislative Assembly that the Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP) will not
be finalized without examining suggestions submitted by 105 village panchayats
and more than 4000 others received by the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority
(GCZMA)”

It is good to know that the voice of every concerned Goan is now being heard.
Whilst most of us have better things to do than striving to do things better
The young and agile who attended on Sunday March 11 sacrificed their Sunday
Lunch travelling long distances to attend democratic Public meetings in
Margao and Panjin to object to the Coastal plans for Goa drawn up with a
Picasso School of thought despite objections raised at local Panchayats level
appeared bulldozed through to be rubber stamped at the meetings of 7 March
2921.

People with a lucky ticket or the chosen ones were allowed into the hall while
the vast majority stayed peacefully ‘outside with Police lines as barriers.
Those In the hall could not speak within the time frame given and did not speak.

So if you are one of the four thousand from around the world who sent your
emails to [email protected] mailto:[email protected] to
table your comments despite being unable to use computer asking your children
and grandchildren to assist you can expect a courtesy of a reply from the
Government of Goa striving to make Goa State a world class destination after
all this hot topic is the future we are dealing with now

Sons and Daughters of Goa on shore or off shore can follow those Coast issue
and others live on Herald online and Konkani and English News Bulletins on U
