Press Note:
The Goa Su-Raj Party wishes to announce the opening of its party membership
drive for the first time since its registration with the Election Commission
of India, New Delhi, in the year 2000. This is in view of the Party's
immediate programme of installing its constituency-wise grass-root-level
organizations in each of the 40 Assembly Constituencies through the setting
up of Constituency-Working-Committees [CWCs] where Party's Primary (life)
Members shall be eligible to be appointed to these committees as 'Village
Representatives'[VRs] on 'One Village - One Representative' basis. In
this system, when all the Constituency Village Representatives have been
appointed to complete the CWC, these appointees shall elect, among
themselves, the 'President' and the 'Secretary' to head the respective
CWCs. The Presidents of the CWCs shall automatically be declared the Party's
'Candidates' for the next/following Assembly Elections by virtue of
occupying these posts.
The Party shall shortly declare constituency-wise co-ordinators who shall
accept applications for membership [Ordinary or Life] within the
Constituencies. In the meantime, the Party's office may be contacted for

It is to be noted that the Party's Constitution and its 'Road Map for Goa'
[the Party's permanent Election Manifesto] are available at the Party's
Office, 2nd. Floor Karekar Building (above Indian Overseas Bank), Angod,
Mapusa, where everything one needs to know about the Party is explicitly
explained. The above two documents are also available to be downloaded from
the Party's website: www.goasu-raj.org .
The Goa Su-Raj Party intends to offer a clean, transparent, disciplined and
planned political alternative to the people of Goa in the next General
Assembly Elections and it shall field as many candidates from as many
constituencies where full-fledged CWCs have been installed and operative.
