Georgia is one of a cluster of three northern  Coptic people, the other two
being Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Armenians are the least caucasian of the
trio, in physical features, which makes them self conscious and assertive.
I watched a documentary last week which featured Georgia. Many names ended in
Valli or Villi, one was very close   to my town of Olavalli (Olaulim ) which
pleased me to no end.  They no longer share a border with Muslim lands,
so none of the old forays that once saw the killing of a Georgian queen who
later became an Orthodoax saint. Her  bones were moved to Goa by a monk,
forgotten for three hundred years in the ruins of St. Catherines church and were
unearthed by a Portuguese -Hindu historian.  We loaned them  the relics and
looked the other way when the returned  a set of fakes. A very grateful nation
has since showered Goa with numerous gifts.
Most of them resemble Parsis. Many had the high, pointed cheek  bones of
Saraswats. The low Keltic set bring instant
recognition of the Irish in England, and disparagement.
