International Cuisine Conference on Traditional Asian Diet Panaji, Goa, September 2-5, 2007 - http://www.indologygoa.in Online Media Partner: http://www.goanet.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hello Joel History shows that Public power does work when the aim is one, when there are no divisions of people to decide. Its either YES OR NO, and hence only two choices. The majority wins. Goa is an individual state not tied up to Maharashtra, because Public power was for Goa, Students fought for 50 percent concessions and public supported them, ie, public power again YES, and as you hve mentioned the others. But when it comes to elections, there is no YES AND NO, but in between there are many others, Individuals, and many other partes. and hence people elect everyone sitting for elections and than the party starts to dance to the music of the individuals. How many do vote for new commers? Immagine how many votes Floriano got? Either people are happy with the crooks they elect or they have no choice of good people to vote. In order to do away with all this, there should not be so many parties but two or three. and once support is given it should be external for the betterment of Goa and not for personal greed. During Bandodkars tenure, how many parties were there? i believe two? UG and MGP? immagine if he had to fight elections with the parties that exist now?
