Goa Death by Neglect and Individual Responsibility

Today 15 May 2021 News reports announce thirty two thousand live positive Covid
cases and two thousand who died RIP.

All around the world, Goa State is no exception, when the Truth is shielded by
a Bodyguard of lies, lies of delusion.

Let us rewind to February Carnival. Goa Government, despite its best efforts
to get the population to follow Covid appropriate behaviour, failed to do so.
Covid appropriate behaviour included:

1. Wash your hands properly with soap frequently
2. Social Distancing
3. Wearing Masks in public places
4. Only leaving home when absolutely necessary for example food shopping

Perhaps the reasons were not made clear enough. Goa is a civilised state you
could not expect the police to enforce the rules with a Lathe Charge .

This is what actually happened, our fellow Goykars carried on with their
Birthday Parties, Weddings, Zatras, Shigmo, Fest, etc as though it was their
last day on earth.

Like others, I feel the pain that Goa is 51 per cent Covid Positive, that is
one in every two people and the landscape populated with our people following
our culture and traditions will be wearing Black for a while among other
customs.

I feel the pain of the large shark that beached itself on Baga beach had its
fins hacked of by persons unknown so it could not swim back to sea gasping for
oxygen its dead carcass was moved next day no one knows anything.

I have observed how natural Oxygen producing trees have been felled like the
over two hundred year old clump of mango trees that was a gateway and landmark
of Colvale, Mopa Airport Project Mollem. Open cast mining, road and building
activities, all these are a blot on the landscape on the lush green canopy
covering and sheltering the inhabitants of Goa.

The next generation looks to you to replace these natural oxygen producing
trees that God has given for free. Please Call Andrez Diaz 8390835087 for a
list of trees and Ideas. Suggest to Goa Government that land be set aside for
trees to be grown in memory of those who succumbed and survived to Covid.
Families can also plant a tree in their property. Check with Sarpanch for a
communal area with planning permission also fellow Goans who died and those who
survived abroad can have trees planted in their memory.
