Dear Brothers and sisters
There is God on one side. and there is man on other side.God is powerful .It is very difficult to see God.He is the king, omnipotent. But apart from this, God is loving. He has voluntered to be our Father. It is left to man (You) to be closer to God. or prefer to remain far away.To be closer to Him means loving Him above all things. There must be upliftment of heart to God.God is our loving Father. He is ready to help us in many ways but He will not help or throw His weight on you without you seeking Him.A father knows what is good for his children. He will never give scorpions when we ask for bread. You are supposed to have faith in God.You should believe that God will help you .When does difficulttimes come? It comes when you harden your hearts and feel that you can handle the problems yourselves. Many times problems arise because of our lackness to see things in every angle. Sometimes we are so selfish and want things to happen towards us rather than towards others.Unhappiness comes because of our over confidence. Many people feel that God has given us freedom to do things with our free will but we seldom try to understand that everything comes into existence through God's will.God has His plan for us.If we remain closer to God and keep our hearts filled with His love we have nothing to fear.We become unhappy because we show too much of confidence with our power. We should show confidence using God's power. When we wake up in the morning we take time to reflect on God's glory instead of trying to pray using unwanted words of prayers which many times we do not even know whether we have rattled it or not.We are so used to ready made computerised prayers that our hearts are somewhere else. The clergy has made us monkeys and have taught prayers which is nothing but the time table that I learnt in school from 1to 16.Half the prayers are forgotten by us after we get married. Its a musical evening when family sits and recite rosary the speed depends on age .Half the prayer is eaten by the sayers.Even the person who is leading seldoms remembers whether hail mary was said or h oly mary.We are more particular with the counting of beads because we are good at arithmetic and rosary is sometimes said more as a fashion or to please the vicar.I am not against the rosary but the way it is said. Why not open our hearts to God say nothing yet be closer to God? Make a habbit of pleasing God through deeds rather than customised praying of which we do not keep a track or t ry to find out what we are saying.A lbert
