I completely agree with you that we have a degree of responsibility for self censorship for what we write. Invoking religion with politics is not only absurd but dangerous and stupid. We cannot as mature, sensible and responsible Goans allow religion to be used in politics let alone hockey goal keeping to vent our gripes, prejudices and fears. There should be zero tolerance for sectarianism in goan politics. Politicians even attempting to use religion as a rallying cry should be put to grass immediately either voluntarily like Selma, dumped or surgically removed. We should not allow ourselves to become useful idiots for unscrupulous politicians. I am ignorant of what these BJP or RSS acronyms mean or what these political parties stand for. Pity. Goans should not lend support to any party home grown or imported to influence their votes on religious grounds. I met a fisher woman in Goa once who said that members of her family included a Muslim, a Catholic and a Hindu. Fabulous I thought at the time, at least one of them should make it through the pearly gates. We would have hell to pay down here on earth in Goa if we subscribed political manipulators who use religion as a rallying cry. Irresponsible inflammatory writing is a NO NO. Thanks.
