Cuncolim also rocked by land scam as property of local resident sold to migrant by crooks having political connections and by bribing government officials A similar case has happened in the property to my friend from Sanvorcotto Cuncolim. Their ancestral property from their mother side has passed into the hands of some crooks. The property is in Vagzuair, Pairaband opp Cuncolim police station. They registered a police complain at the Cuncolim municipal council and also at the police station, the Cuncolim police has since told them since the forgery took place in Margao the complain should be registered with the Fatorda police station. Nothing has come out of it, the Cuncolim municipal staff is sleeping over it and also the police investigation is moving at a snail pace. Now the only course of action available to them is to knock the court doors, but what about people who d0 not have the money to fight such cases. My friends investigation is ongoing to find out the bigger truth and the people behind the scam. They told me that a few influential people from Cuncolim are part of the scandal although nothing is in black and white yet. The family has applied for documents through RTI to get to the root of the scandal. That also involves a lot of money, paper work and time.
