Hei Folks, I was uncertain from what he was saying whether one of our contributor articles Kevin Saldanha was an Evolutionist, a believer of the Faith and I inquired on his views of the delicate relationship between Hope and Faith. So I asked him to clarify. To be fair to the man he came across clearly stating where he stood on these issues.
Kevin surmised "So why do we strive so hard to stay alive in this world if the afterlife is so appealing to the pious? Probably because every believer really does not BELIEVE, except for a few fundamentalist nutcases." It seems a fairly reasonable explanation ignoring the name calling. Very simply he was saying that believers could get nearer to God sooner rather then later by topping themselves off and a possible explanation was that they did not believe sufficiently enough. Kevin's atheist or theologian leanings and name callings are not issues merely noise generator words which hardly help the discussions. Public personal character assassinations are in bad taste and puerile and is not what I and a majority of the reading public are here for. Nevertheless, satire, sarcasm and wit can make it entertaining for all however serious the topic, I think. I know from my brief encounters with Kevin that he is an enigmatic character and taken my ribbings sportingly but never failed to give his point of view. Cheers
