Goa is celebrating 60 yrs of Liberation. Our State which is India’s smallest is known for its hospitality and the whole world wants to be in this former Paradise of the East.
But those in Power should hang their heads in shame for having miserably failed to provide even the basic amenities in our little State. Good motorable roads, uninterrupted water and power supply, quality health and educational facilities as well as employment for our educated youth are the bare minimum requirements which the Government should have focused on and endeavored to deliver. However, with the Chief Minister and every Minister having his own vested agenda, the rampant destruction of Goa’s pristine hills and fields has been there for all to see. The future is bleak with even our forests not spared. The damage done to our Goa being colossal is now irreversible and of course unpardonable. With the soaring crime rate this once safe haven is in utter peril. A crying shame indeed, that we have reached this sad state of affairs with Goa driven to the brink by the very people we elected in trust at various levels of Governance. Corruption, nepotism and lack of transparency in administration has taken their toll on Goa. Adv.
