Hei Folks, "Humanity Does not owe anyone a dime, except the Deity of Truth" ? The argument about Truth is very much like that of getting a room in the Infinite Hotel Hilbert's paradox.
We seek the truth and that is all we can say. We owe to ourselves for goodness sake and not to a Deity. We have half truths, economic with the truth, acceptable truths, unacceptable truths, true until proven untrue and the list goes on. It is said that we have just the necessary amount of brains necessary for our survival in a given environment. The sightless worm sees the world differently to a bird and a bird sees the world differently to a human. They all have brains. They see the world in the way their brains are wired up. Just that humans have consciousness. The bat sees colour with its ears from the signature emitted by the colour. Different species share characteristics to a lesser or greater extent. So a sightless worm will never experience the world as a human anymore then a human can experience the world as a worm. We have just what we need to survive. But there can be no doubt that all brains are bio electrical machines. They can be simple to very complex as in humans and higher order mammals. Brains are said to replenish themselves so the brain you had when you were a child is no longer the same brain you have now. Almost all of it has been replenished. So how do we remember things from the past when the original cells have long since died and vanished. Attributes of the brain like consciousness, memory are areas of serious research and study. Given that the possible electrical connections and synapses in the brain can be so large, that each persons experience is different about the "normal". Resurrecting and reincarnating fools long dead or getting bodies out of the deep freeze box will only show how that particular bio electrical box is wired up. Einstein's brain sits in a jam jar and is a subject of intense investigation and study. Golly he was no fool. I agree with Santosh that if you disagree with someone you should tell them why you disagree. I saw none of that in Selma's response to Santosh.
