The Goan voters mind is in a turmoil, a case of confusion wrapped in a kashti.
Everyone I know complains about the present government - what they have done and what they have not- sins of commission and omission. By contrast, the BJP government is oozing with confidence regarding their achievements. How come? The Congress Party won the election but because of infighting they lost it in a manner best described as a comedic tragedy. Has the tiatr season ended or will we see a lot more? Going by their record it will be a case of history repeats itself. The Congress Party is now reduced to a group of four with MLAs jumping ship as they see the flames and lopsided ship gradually going down bringing to mind the story of the Titanic. Is the BJP overconfident as they have already bought over the MLAs who might win in future? The record of the Congress is worse than a prostitute. No need to say anymore, the BJP is banking on it and it is a win-win scenario! The future looks gloomy even with the lifting of the monsoon clouds. Anyone and everyone who has broken their word in the past on serious matters has to be dropped like a poisonous hot potato. No exceptions if the Goan voter wants to get a better government. A passport to a better Goa is now in the hands of voters who will need intelligence and courage to make the right decision. Any compromise will lead to hell even though the voter might be a holder of a Bible passport, Gita passport or a Koran passport. After all, a passport does not guarantee a visa.
