Dear Paulo,
You are however right to some extent that certain goan's have ignored their
illegibility to apply previously for portuguese nationality, but then do you
really mean that late-comers are not entitled and have to suffer for such a
mere reason.
We are in a democratic world and we all have the right to choose and live in
our own way. As per my previous email, i do admit the serious issue of fraud
applicants, but what about the administration defiencies of portugal
government as written and pointed in my response to jose colaco message.
Rather then, delaying and unnecessarily harassing the applicants the
authorities should insist on improving the time bound system.
It is absurd to discuss and speak of the past as we need to concentrate for
the future and present.
LETTING BY GONES BE BYGONES..... let's look BACK TO THE FUTURE.

Dear Shashikant,
What I really find strange is the fact that for more than 40 years you or
your parents and/or so many other citizens did not bother to maintain your
Portuguese citizenship.
Now in the last years, everyone wants to demand their "rights".
You have to agree that there is some inconsistency here for which very few
in Portugal would agree with your claim for justice...
Plus, you may not be aware of the huge number of fraud/false applications
submitted.
Unfortunately, legitimate applicants are paying the cost of the huge number
of false applications.
I do sympathise with your case. However, I feel that if you ignored your
right to Portuguese citizenship for more than 40 years, I cannot see why you
cannot wait another 10 years or more until the authorities find out if your
case is legitimate or not.
Best
Paulo.
