P.C.Trust honours and appreciates Fr Costa. First and unique gesture of honouring a PP of O.L HOPE Church Chinchinim. It is an act of gratitude for his vision, dedication ,painstaking , praise worthy efforts in completing projects, schemes that had hitherto not even been conceived forget about implementation . His passion commitment saw fruition of schemes in unbelievable short time. The Parishioners regret and are pained at silence and indifference to lack of appreciation and due recognition . It is uncharacteristic of traditional, customary generosity, hospitality of the Parishioners Nevertheless the Parishioners have not failed him and recorded their love , acknowledgement through personal, magnimous cash grants and precious gifts Trust presented him a colourful ,laminated documents, with details of development work and spiritual exercises undertaken in the parish.2000 floaters of write up were distributed thro local news papers reaching every household.. HERALDO published write up on him on his birthday too. On his birthday the Trust had a brief , meaningful function and presented to him scheme of award in his hononur by friends ,admirers and Parishioners. The decision was taken on 2 June 2021..The amount collected stands ar Rs 2.71 lakhs as of date .The response to the fund was spontaneous and generous.. Attempts are in progress to enhance it to a round figure, as per suggestions.Interest will be used for distribution of awards The scheme is an open ended scheme for contributions. First student at MMHSS IN STD XII SCIENCE ,FIRST AT SSC 2021, AT MMHS AND SMA will be felicitated w.e.f June 2022. Expenses are not debited to the fund but are privately funded .Token awards were distributed on 29 Sept.2021, at the release function of Trust Sports Magazine in his honour by Hon.MLA. Mr. Churchill Alemao .Mr Alemao was effusive in his expressions of laudable achievements , his enviable talents, love for soccer, multifaceted personality traits and spiritual concerns in all his previous parishes too.. Friends offered the awards of Rs 5000. and sponsored the function.Wide publicity was provided in English dailies,and social media and to friends. Parishioners from far and wide were delighted with the appreciation accorded to Fr Costa by Trust as just, most appropriate deserving and commendable Not a single Parishioner declined when approached and it was very gratifying. Fr Jose Antonio Da Costa is presented with a specially designed folder including write ups, list of donors, certificates, press reports and relevant photos for his perusal ,pleasure and to recall memories at leisure
