THE NEW ART OF GOVERNANCE All parties taking a cue from the ruling party are using the internet, social media and every means of propaganda to divert people attention from real issues and take maximum advantage of their short memories! This is done by simply denying the truth repeatedly and diverting attention from their sufferings and woes. Blatant lies even on the floor of the house and in courts, where government is the biggest litigant against its citizens, are done with impunity! Headlines scream " Government's lie on sugar factory land comes to Light". The Environment impact assesment (EIA) is becoming a joke, Devastating floods are getting bigger!Trees are sought to be redefined by law, so they have to now be doubly bigger to qualify as trees. Recall how coconut trees were sought to be defined as grass? Goa has long back been declared ODF free and the Bhumiputra Bill was passed dispite strong opposition! A few months before election rush to fill potholes/ build damaged roads, gives jobs to youth, police and government agencies harass the desenters and opposition. Agencies like NCB go after Bollywood and electronic media goes berserk at small time leisure drug few grams consumers, not same enthuasism to pursue main job of nabbing drug lords (haul at Mundra port 3000 kilos and not much publicity). Legal experte are of the opinion enough laws for police to handle these rave parties hauls! Will people keep on forgetting is the million dollar question before the next elections!
