Dear Goanetters, The dossage of the drug 'Interlukin-2' administered to cancer patients in their terminal stages seems to be out of reach of ordinary people as it is very expensive. It is believe to be costing around Rs. 5 to 6 lacs per course, administered through injections.
Is there any alternative to this very expensive drug which could somehow suit the pockets of not so rich people? This query is made specifically because there is a patient terminally ill with cancer and is advised administration of interlukin-2 which the person obviously cannot afford.
