Click on [ Estado do processo ] (It is the 7th link in the left hand column)

If you do not have one - approach the Consulate personally. You do speak Portuguese, do you not? I just cannot envisage the Consulate turning down a request for information from one who speaks Portuguese.

That probably (I am just thinking aloud here) one more acid test now to help determine who is genuine and who is opportunistic.
The other one being - "Original Portuguese era document"

That is a fair question. How indeed did so many non-Goans get OKed by the Portuguese Consulate in Goa or Bombay. Surely the consular officials in Goa or Bombay who are Goan or Damanese knew better.

I do know that the staff at the Consulate in Bombay were dismissed and the consulate shut down - et moved to Goa for that reason.

While that answers that concern, it does not bring relief to the genuine applicants stuck in the pipeline.
