Are we chasing an illusory shadow
For the last close to a decade, it appears that our Govt has lost its plot. Instead of concentrating on good Governance, and raising the standard of the people,there is a U Turn towards Hindutwa politics with all its force.The catchy slogans are laid bare and havec outlived their utility as gimmicks. Some earth shaking measures started with a bang have ended in a whimper, thus failed to take off .But on the other hand these much touted exercises in vain appear to be counter productive.The demonotisation resulted in undesirable pain to ordinary customers.it did not flush out black money, nor destroy terrorism.The cost of demonotisation and amount recovered is still a guarded secret.The 2000 Rs note is unexplainable replacement and so the cost of coloured money.The amount of Rs 15 lakh deposit in every citizen account is a cruel laughable , joke of deceit on the citizens GST with all its ramifications as One Nation One tax, has multiple slabs. The implementation and corruption in its operation is a far cry.The indirect tax burden on every citizen only generates resources for the Govt.On the contrary Govt is crying hoast about those outside the direct tax net.The uniform burden equally on all is back breaking measure The schemes, subsidies associated with gas have gone up in smoke Subsidies are redundant and costs have touched the roof ,mocking the much touted purpose of clean fuel.The fuel prices are at all time high and regularly increased and may hit once again after elections The removal of article 370 has not ushered peace and unity with the Nation The fire fighting has still not restored normalcy and terrorism is definitely not on the ebb.Further the status of Union terrority in J&K and status of Ladak have mixed reactions due to bifurcation The food prices of all essential commodities have touched the ceiling There is no relief from mounting unemployment, a slowing down of economy, atrocities against women, intolerance and witch hunts thro various Dept to fix dissidents are a common focuss Govt is on the renewed vigor and mood to erect physical monuments like Sardar Patel, central Vista, Ram temple National War memorial, S.C.Bose etc Muslims are branded as terrorists and antinationals. Catholics are being accused of conversions when the stable population and declining numbers do not support the claim. HINDUs alone are desh bhakts to take over and move the nation forward Hence greatest divide now is between Hindus and others Never before in the history of Independent India the focus is on election and PM visiting every election campaign in every state The single agenda is Congress mukth .Bharat. The flogging of congress leaders, ridiculing them and focusing on dynasty is their favourite pass time. ALL the evils facing the country are placed at the doorsteps of Congress.It is almost ridiculous statement that there has been no progress ever since the Independent in the last 70 years.History will stand a witness to usurping all glory and appropriating to oneself True the covid pandemic has derailed the economic forward march, but that alone is not the total justification for downslide The people have realized that they are taken for the ride High pitched rhetoric and inflammatory speeches ,personal attacks at elections have no parallel.The unprecedented farmers strike allowed to fester with arrogance has been withdrawn after a year Nelson Lopes Chinchinim
