Trook or Truco. Sixteen people play this game at a time. It starts with a
prayer, some strong emotions, a few drinks, many laughs, and a tasty
mini-meal. You could see it as an attempt to build community. Anthony
D'Mello invited us over to the St Christopher Club in Tivim, Bardez, Goa
(Estd 1964). Victor Fernandes (of Pilerne) and myself are struggling to
understand the rules of this game, as is obvious. He's doing it more
successfully than me. We finally found some explanation from a similar
sounding game, from Sao Paulo (I guess) in Brazil. See here:
