Poor results of aided schools The comment of Minister of Education regarding poor results of aided schools is in poor taste.It must be placed with comparative performance of Govt or non aided schools . IT is the minority aided education schools that have spread education in every nook and corner in Goa. It is an oblique tirade against minority schools and religiously coloured observations The education progress in Goa is very largely due to efforts of aided schools Our outstanding legislators are products of aided schools too The grants have not been attraction but sacrifices of communities to raise and to provide the best infrastructure possible Govt schools are far less in number and do not command respect in any comparison Besides recently online process has badly affected the teaching, learning process Education cannot be judged just by mere results of SSC, but by discipline , sports, values that are inculcated throughout and class infrastructure and other facilities in place like libraries, laboratories Parents make a beeline for admissions in aided schools .I have still to hear any Govt schools which faces unprecedented admission demand and their strength is mostly below requirement A casual, unqualified observation by Minister of Education speaks poorly of the situation It is a pity that Govt primary schools are closing down by drones and propped up to stand by unique justification Aided schools are the ones which are pride sentinels of Education standards in Goa and need no certification
