Temperatures have increased in the Gulf Region due to Climate Change. Construction companies do not compensate workers for serious diseases when they have to be repatriated due to not being able to work any longer.
Most or all of the workers are of young ages. Protesting their working conditions gets them arrest and deportation even though being subjected to adverse conditions contravene local labour laws. Owners of the construction companies are important Qataris and the government will not take action against them specially when the matter involves the poorer class of foreigners. This doesn’t mean that all workers suffer adverse fates. Many return to their countries much better off than before they left there.
