For the purpose of having an INFORMED VOTE in the upcoming Panchayat election, can we please have from the MEDIA and from political social media cells:
1. What the Candidate has done in the last five years that was for the Public Good or in the Public Interest and/or Traditional science/ farming/ fishery/ environmental/ academic/ professional credentials. 2. The Candidate's awareness level of the responsibility of the Pancha to maintain the Integrity of Panchayat Raj and if the Candidate has been trained by GIPARD or learnt from another source. And if the Candidate knows the Due Process to follow for infractions within the Panchayat's jurisdiction. 3. The Candidate's interpretation of the term 'Development' for the Village and, awareness of the importance of its Environmental Assets and that human infrastructure must be in consonance with Environmental Infrastructure. And whether the Candidate knows what the Village's environmental assets are. 4. The Candidate's awareness of the link between the survivability of Environmental Assets to the survivability of the Cultural- Economic- Tourism Assets of the Goan Village. And the Candidate's understanding of Noise Pollution, Water Pollution, Air Pollution and Garbage Pollution and their resolution. 5. Whether the Candidate is aware that the Goan Village can be upgraded with 21st century technology and modernization, WITHOUT destroying its Environmental Infrastructure and the peace and health of the People in the Village. And in fact, that the very purpose of 21st century technology and modernization is to SERVE THE PEOPLE of the Village, by PROTECTING its Environmental Infrastructure. 6. The Candidate's awareness of the Independence of the Panchayat from the office of the MLA. This is important to maintain the integrity of the office so as to provide Active Service to the population and support the larger role of the Assembly in executing ground level works at Global Standards. ................
