Subject: When Money talks...... Law stays Blind. Damn Blind ! !
To: "Paul Charles(cayman Net News)", Cayman Net News news account

To the editor, Kindly do the needfull .

This subject has been followed and chased by me for a lenghty period of time. In fact this very subject was published on the papers under the caption " Are The Beaches in Cayman Public Or Private". dated Wednesday 24th of Jan 2007 Page # 6.

Not a single soul from the concerned department or any NGO could give a feed back on this sensitive issue. I suppose just everyone wants to give a blind eye to this issue.

The Beaches of Cayman are Public to the best of my Knowledge and if any one thinks otherwise I would like to have a feedback. The resorts claim that the area in front of their property is theirs. This is totally unacceptable. The ignorance of the Police department needs a lot to be desired as, when the department was called upon to address this situation, this was the operators reply " oh yes the area in front of the hotel has been purchased by the hotel" My guest who were told to get away from the front area of this resort came running to seek advise on whether the Beaches our Private or Public....Well I leave this now to the readers to judge.

Most of the Starred hotels on the Seven Mile Beach have a sign displayed saying" Beach chairs, umbrellas and towels are for the use of the hotel guest only". But no where does a sign say "THIS BEACH AREA IS THE PROPERTY OF THE HOTEL. TRESPASSERS WILL BE KICKED OFF". Well I put this as a challenge to the starred hotels to put this banner up if they really think that the Beach area in front of the resort is theirs.

As my caption quotes "When Money talks......Law stays Blind....and Damn Blind". This is an undeniable fact and I will prove it here. Even if the Beach is owned by the Starred hotels the question to ask is, How much of the Beach do you own?.....The entire Beach....., The entire beach up to the water line...Up to where?

The Ritz Carlton which is a Hotel of repute internationally seems to give a blind eye to this fact. Now let's talk facts here to prove the point.

The picture attached will speak for themselves.

The beach chairs of the Ritz Carlton have almost reached the Water line leaving just a few feet of the beach area for other guest to walk by. One needs to see when their Banquets are held where their sitting arrangement reaches to....Why does someone not take any action against these irregularities. The only answer I can give to myself is they are too Powerful to be touched or reprimanded. The Law is too frightened of them....What else could a normal mind think... This is a real shame.

Please help me to rationalise my thoughts......

Kind regards
