Subject: [Goanet] Three Goanets

Folks,It is becoming increasingly clear that there are now three Goanets.?
The first Goanet is for?the emails that you and I sporadically receive.?
The second Goanet is the one on the archives where there are a lot more posts.
Posts?that?no one receives.?
The third Goanet is the one where someone replies?to?Goanet, cc?s the author
and the author receives (and replies) to?the email?but Goanet has no record of.?

Hola Aloha,
Mervyn is right, I have noticed 'the second Goanet' too, but post in archives
one never receives happens on other lists too, in my experience, with nettime
and the uncivilization mailing lists.
The third Goanet is issue is simpler, immo: since the 'answerer' is the first
recipient sHe replies to the post, but forgets to 'Reply All' and so her/his
mail (non)post becomes an 'off-list' messg. Something that can be intentional
as well, I do it often, when (or since ;-) I don't want to get into a 'public'
debate.
Some mailing lists ('owners') have decided to curb the practice by making any
reply to a list post going automatically to the list, no escape (or you have to
put an effort in it). You recognize it by the sender's label as
'soandsolist.domain on behlaf of (name of the original sender).
I do not like that very much.
Ciao Ciao, p+7D!
