The Dabolim Airport was built in 1955 and before it was stolen in 1961, it was named Aeroporto General Bernardo Guedes. Not to sure how the original name of the airport was changed or discarded. BC
It would be very appropriate for the new Airport at Mopa to be named after Goa?s first Chief Minister Dayanand Bandodkar and the Dabolim Airport after Goa?s first Leader of the Opposition, Dr Jack Sequeira.
