Vidyaapati -- Bidirectinal Machine Translation. This project, being
undertaken at the Goa U. for Konkani, involves the languages of Bengali,
Konkani, Maithili, Marathi and Hindi. It is under the National Language
Translation Mission (NLTM) Bhasham, and has been funded by the Ministry of
Electronics and Information Technology (Meity), of the Government of India.
Goa University is responsible for the Konkani section. All resources
developed and collected in the process of this project will be shared under
an Open Source license. A workshop was held on December 12, 2022. Prof

Indo-Aryan language spoken by the Konkani people, primarily in the Konkan
region, along the western coast of India. It is one of the 22 scheduled
languages mentioned in the Indian Constitution, and the official language
of the Indian state of Goa. It is a minority language in Karnataka,
Maharashtra, Kerala, Gujarat & Damaon, Diu & Silvassa. Recorded by
