Hi Rui,

I read with interest your posers to Bhandare. While I leave it to him to
answer, I invite your attention to the book ' We or our nationhood defined'
authored by the former Chief of the RSS , MS Golwalkar. It will be very
instructive for you to understand the view, attitude and ideology of the RSS
towards its Muslim and Christian minorities. You may also read up
The Brotherhood in Saffron: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Hindu
Revivalism.
It is authored by Walter K. Andersen and Shridhar D. Damle and Terrifying
Vision: M.S. Golwalker, the RSS And India; Jyotirmaya Sharma, Penguin, Rs. 295,
.

If you still have time and interest you may look up the archives of Star TV for
footage on the Gujarat genocide, and Shrikrishna Commission Report on the
Bombay riots of 1993, as well as Judicial reports on the burning of Graham
Staines and his two minor sons.If this will not give you goose pimples and make
your hair stand up on end, I do not know what else will.

Fortunately for India, the Hindus (not the Hindutva RSS type) are a very
peaceful, tolerant people. That is why, the RSS ideology has not taken roots in
a widespread manner. Their (RSS)only strength which was their moral force was
severely compromised during the NDA (BJP) rule when functionaries cornered
plots of land, petrol pumps and gas agencies shamelessly.

In the RSS world view there is no space for opposing views (very similar to
friend Bush). You are either with them or against them.

The fears expressed by many Goanetters on this forum is very real. During the
brief rule of the BJP in Goa, there were attempts to disrupt the peace and
harmony and create fissures between the Hindus and Catholics.

Cheers

Marshall
