Panaji, July 26 Mr Joaquim Alemao, the Urban Development Minister and Congress legislator from Cuncolim and who was alleged to be at the centre stage of the on-going political crisis in the state, has denied any link with those behind the toppling game and said that he continued to be with the Congress party and would not leave it under any circumstances. Mr Alemao told reporters at the official residence of the Chief Minister, Mr Digambar Kamat, that he had joined the Congress when it was in dire situation and has since decided to be part of it come whatever may. My heart is with Congress and nobody can change my loyalty to the party, he added. Asked to comment on the moves of his brother, Mr Churchill Alemao, to dislodge the Congress government, the Urban Development Minister said that his relationship with him was restricted to his house and within his family. Here I am Congressman and would do what my party wants me to do, he stated. Mr Alemao further said that he has always abided by the party directives and would continue to do so in future.
