GL responds:
It is my understanding that the business community across India approves of
Modi's policies.  This is reflected by economic strides across several sectors
of the economy, including defense and aerospace, and by several private
enterprises beyond Gautam Adani. The Indian press does report the violence
across the country - both political and domestic.  Goanetters get their daily
fill of anti-government posts.  It is for state's government to deal with these
local issues.
On an international level, India is the only economic bright star; and an
example is the hope that Air India's recent big airplane order will
reinvigorate world economies and jobs in USA, France, Britain.  I am sure
India's benefit from the East and West by its cozy oil refining deal with
Russia irks many western capitalists.  Even USA benefits from India's export of
refined oil, which is helping car drivers and the economy. Geo-strategically,
India is rightly positioned to benefit from the opposing blocks in today's
worldwide conflicts; and carries on its business diligently with its nose to
the grinding stone.
So let us beware of foreigners who would like to sow dissent in India and among
Indians without leaving any fingerprints. Regards, GL

Modi's model is at last revealed for what it is: violent Hindu nationalism
underwritten by big business.

India is under attack by foreign powers. Specifically, the United Kingdom and
the United States. Or so our government would have us believe. Why? Because
former colonialists and neo-imperialists cannot tolerate our prosperity and
good fortune. The attack, we are told, is aimed at the political and economic
foundations of our young nation.
