While the Católics of Goa migrated to "greener" pastures, except for goldsmiths, Hindus stayed put in Goa, kept the service industry going, as well as the grass root making, ship building and manufacturing eg., gold smithy, copper and earthen cooking vessels, ferryboat, manual and motorised craftplus agriculture.
