Does any politician need a degree to hold any office of power ? Inspite of that politicians without formal education today bandish degrees of graduation to bolster their standing amongst educated class The so called external degrees without formal basic education is a mockery of formal education For the politicians it is only an asset to flaunt publicly The electorate usually considers aproacability and social passion to chose representatives and education or lack of it has never been a serious criteria.The elected members and educational background is the proof. Fortunately highly educated professionals try their luck at the hustings and have succeeded.The CM of Delhi is a proven ITian The IAS officers cannot mislead easily an educated representative.and that is the advantage.Educational degrees at any level cannot guarantee or is prime requirement, then one wonders why politicians clamour to secure fake degrees Once an education Minister with primary education simply accepted all demands of Headmasters to receive standing ovation In a class of world leaders a highly educated politicians carries weight not that any world leader will be slighted for lack of formal education background The leader of a country commands respect by his position as all texts are prepared by IAS officers and politician reading prepared speech is a mere mouthpiece often applauded Fortunately many politicians are highly educated and hence ecomnand respect and appreciation but in a democracy degree is not a prequisite or disqualification and is of ornamental importance Nelson Lopes Chinchinim
