Accidents will happen The tragic accident at Odissa is another one at present.The scale of damage and loss o f large number of human lives is shocking. The high speed trains is a disaster waiting in the wings Human errors or machine malfunctioning can only be reduced to a minimum Accidents for one reason or other will occur .Accidents but for systems have reduced to bare minimum. Accidents whether in air , water or land are not a rarity Better controll ,anti collision mechanism and fencing of special corridors or dedicated lanes for supper fast movement of increasing traffic are worth serious considerations . Pandering to politician for additional fast trains on almost saturated roots is best avoided .Modernisations, replacements and additional lines must keep pace with increase in traffic The clamour for resignations is but a political gimmick of blame game Have all the past high profile resignations ensured accident free transport and can guarantee absolute safety. The moral high ground on resignations appears to be fruitless How difficult it is to put a cost to human life.Attending to the injured burying the dead, providing compensation to different categories of victims and restoring the traffic is a priority Evaluating the cause is to prevent repeat of such enormous tragedies in future Nelson Lopes Chinchinim
