The institution conceived with foresight and vision is the crown in the development and prosperity of the Village of Sarzora.Sr Etiene now ailing with age related problems and late Sr DOLRES undertook the challenging task of providing the educational facility Many could not travel to Chinchinim schools as distance was disincentive.The starting was ideal concept that met all the parameters for an co educational institute at arms length. Sr Etiene was determined lady though unassuming but was made of steel in her resolve in accomplishing her goals.After strenuously completing SMA , she undertook yet another venture instead of relaxing and enjoyig fruits of her labour after hard days work The role of benefactors in donating the land was a welcome motivation .Slowly and steadily they together built the edifice of repute by adding much needed physical infrastructure .The Villagers offered a helping hand to create the dream of reality and usefulness. Many a student would not have been educated but for the facility at their doorsteps. It was a boon for marginalized and financially backward communities ,as both the sisters were considerate and compassionate towards their plight They thoughtfully provided conducive space for studies and even looked after their meals. She said as quite a few were first time learners they were thrilled to advance through education with attendant roadblocks The coeducational school added to its advantage of much needed facility . The stellar role of these two pioneers cannot be overlooked even as subsequent followers enhanced the facilities and educational standards .The popularity and worth of this school is judged by the inflow of students as far away from Paroda, Chandor Dramapur , Panzorcone and Chinchinim and surrounding wards .The imposing building housing the Convent too has no scope for fresh admissions even with pressing demands.Today the Assumpta School is competing with sister institution and has won laurels both in the academic field and outshines in sports arena too' The grateful admirers and friends of Sr DOLRES nicknamed as CYCLE SISTER who was a suave , sociable ,ever smiling, warm and spontaneously friendly person . An award for the SECOND GIRL at SSC for Chinchinim School is a deserving and loving tribute to Sr Dolores revered memory by friends and admirers .The funeral services to Sr Dolores are a memorable event of thanksgiving . In article published years ago , SR ETIENE is described as DIAMOND amongst pearls of Chinchinim Village documenting her contributions to the cause of girl education in particular She has laid sound foundations on which the reputations of both institutions firmly stands She rightly deserves the salutations of EDUCATIONIST In every sense of the word.In her simplicity and humility never did usurp credit for herself nor cover herself with self glory. SHE was a builder ,architect and Educationist par excellent The Trust honoured her with Headmasters token award by turn to the SMA school On this 50 anniversary of Assumpta Convent at Sarzora I have the pleasure to recall their vision, steadily working for achieving the same with sacrifices of enormous anxieties A thought for Sr Etiene and late Sr Dolores is in fitness of gratitude on this joyous celebrations of the community .It is not my intentions to belittle role of their associates under their leadership, except for the focus of their leadership
