I honestly believe goans have a great sense of humour.
I used to be a fly on the wall when my father a really poorly educated
man would joke with a family friend of ours who was an Oxford
graduate. They would joke in Konkani for hours and hours. The humour
was Quality. Talk about nuances of the language. I picked it there. I
used to listen to English humour too which is top of the class
brilliant. Goan humour is a brand type. Even English humour has across
the border divide jokes. Surely, you must know that being in London.
In fact I think that you are having me on when you quote me for
thanking good old Lino for putting me right on DEO vo DEV. Read it
again if you must. You cannot be serious are you to believe that I was
insulting the man and not joking about the way we speak Konkani North
and South of the border. Come on Gabe.
I have pasted what I wrote to Lino and what you write to me below. If
a straw poll shows that I insulted the man YOU WIN. If the straw poll
shows that they see me as thanking the man and joking about our
North/South Konkani I WIN.

Please, Please, Please I hope Lino and the rest of the readers took
what I wrote about our dialects for humour. I humbly apologise if
anyone felt insulted. I trust that Goans will see it as humour as was
intended and Gabe who parades about as an 'Alfa Goan London peasant'
is a fake :). What a goan with no sense of humour even with coaching
in England has to be a fake :).
