I heartily agree with Stephen that we should continue with the name INDIA.
Trust these Modi led Gujus to focus on trivial issues like name changes.
Hindus remain culturally drenched in their many gods & meaningless rituals and have no time for anything more intellectually challenging or philosophical.

I'd like to suggest that a semi-literate Hindu like Modi be kicked out from the governing hierarchy and be replaced by a true intellectual, preferably Christian or Muslim to deal with the more serious national & international issues
so that India is able to earn more respect and attention.

Subject: [Goanet] PROUD INDIA OR PROUD BHARAT?
Lots of controversy has erupted in the print media in these days in regards
to proud India or proud Bharat for no reason at all.
Foreigners abroad knows our country as India and not Bharat. It gives a
negative impact as foreigners knows the word Bharat as CHEAP which is a
translation from Portuguese language as SOVAI . If anybody wants to modify
their name there is a procedure which takes time to be implemented with
several formalities and approvals. I repeat we are not cheap Bharat in
India. Please lets us keep this word India which is in the map of the world
and not Bharat.
