CALL FOR CHAPTERS: Furry Tales -- A book about the cats we love (working title)
Cats are unique; they embody both a sense of maintaining their space while remaining loving on their own terms. Scores of pet parents have had close encounters with their kitties... Some have taught them invaluable lessons, while others have been content to watch their kitties' antics, a quality so peculiar to felines. What does it mean to explore the quirky nature of your cat? Can you recollect any particular incident that has caught your attention? Made you laugh? Got mad...? We offer you this platform to air your unique experiences with your feline pets. Shirlene Palha Fernandes assistant professor of English at St Xavier's College, Mapusa, proposes to edit the next, collaboratively-written book on this topic. Any stories related to cats, and the experiences with your pets, is welcome. Real life narratives of between 1200-1800 words are welcome. Well-written pieces (of the same lenght) may be considered too. Ps feel encouraged to send in personal and unique encounters with your kitties . Each story needs to be well written, carefully sourced, and edited to a suitable quality. In case needed, the editor will offer feedback with suggestions for improvement . Looking forward to some purr..fect tales! PS: The work will be published in a book, which will be made available to chapter contributors at a very reasonable rate, and also available as a free e-book for distribution as desired, with the collection released under a Creative Commons license. The contributors will retain the copyright over their respective articles, while granting the publishers and editor the right to share the same.
