Hoardings on National highway The High Court has issued an edict to remove hoardings within 40 m.The obstruction of vision and distractions to motorist is avoided enhancing safety. Hundreds of huge hoardings dominate the skyline.The municipalities , local bodies are selective in action and dare not touch Govt hoardings while raising others even without notice.No doubt it is a milk cow ,generating huge revenues . Of late the central poles on dividers have been rented for commercial purpose and is worst violation of safety norms .Will the HC issue suo mottu direction to enforce its orders .Govt are the worst offenders.In this digital age this practice is discontinued the world over Nelson Lopes Chinchinim
