"Today we take a close look at how the Supreme Court has treated Ali Khan Mahmudabad. Does it have the power to gag him? Or has it overreached itself? Should it have questioned whether Section 152 of the BNS applies rather than simply accept it does and hand the matter to a SIT for further investigation? Should he have been told to surrender his passport when clearly he is not a flight risk? And could the wide-ranging comments by the two Judges have prejudiced the case?
